Finding flickers of joy through the creative process has helped me contend with recent tragedies that have befallen my family: I lost three matriarchs in a matter of month in 2025 – my mother and both of my grandmothers. The sudden disappearance of maternal wisdom had left my soul to navigate life without its North Star for the first time. Creating art – from photography, to poetry, to costume design – has helped me process the tremendous grief from their deaths and nudged me to start navigating my life in my own creative and whimsical way. I believe in the transformative power of art to guide ourselves back to the present moment, to connect us with loved ones both with us and not, and to remind us that joy can coexist with sorrow.

Reveling in life through adventure and art has been an important through line in my past and present history: I am a free spirit at heart. I have a passion for bringing imaginative ideas and concepts to life – from a first-of-its-kind oracle deck featuring dreamy photographs overlaid with mesmerizing illustrations, to mixed media poetry installations exhibited in community spaces, to high-fantansy entomological costume design for a performance art fashion show – I love to collaborate with life, myself, and other artists to create one-of-a-kind projects. In my spare time, I am an avid rock climber and motorcyclist, and I am often experimenting with ways to mix-and-match various adventures with my art.
